Keep your Headset Clean!

Flu season is here and with the additional concern of the Swine flu it is more important than ever not to let your employees share headsets. Each employee should have their own headset even if they are sharing desk space. When headsets are shared germs and infections can spread through the work force impacting your ability to serve your customers.

What can you do to minimize the potential for flu and other illnesses?

• Every user should be provided a headset for their own dedicated use.
• Leatherette or foam ear cushions should be replaced every 6 months or every time a new person uses the headset.
• Windscreens (microphone covers) or voice tubes should be replaced every 6 months or every time a new person uses the headset. Ask about our new Headset Cleaning Program! 
• Every time a headset is reassigned all plastics, consoles, and equipment should be cleaned using non-alcoholic sani-wipes.
• Supply each employee with a Sencomm Headset Health Kit.
• Sign up for Sencomm Smart Programs and request a Sencomm Headset Care Card for each employee.

These tips are the bare minimum recommendations for safe and effective long-term headset hygiene and should be used as a guide to maintain health and safety regulations in your company. Not only will they assist in creating a healthier workplace for your employees, but they will also promote greater longevity for your headsets and equipment.
